Jayalakshmi Silks, a brand with a heritage spanning almost 75 years, is renowned for its proficiency in managing multi-level, multi-brand outlets. Focusing on the diverse needs of entire families, Jayalakshmi Silks excels particularly in silk sarees, sourced from 400 skilled handloom owners nationwide. The brand's distinctive strength lies in the meticulous selection and procurement process, an expertise honed over the past seven decades, contributing significantly to the company's assets.
Presently, Jayalakshmi operates five stores, with four located in Kerala and one in Mangalore, each serving not only as destination stores but also fostering a sense of togetherness among families. This is achieved through the extensive range of options offered, making Jayalakshmi Silks a cornerstone in bringing families closer together.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Human Resources at Jayalakshmi Silks, located in Kochi. The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR management, including implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, managing employee relations, and developing strategies to support the growth and well-being of our workforce. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
Qualifications
Human Resources (HR) management skills
Knowledge of labor and employment law
Experience in developing and implementing HR policies
Strong employee relations skills
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include:
Experience in the retail industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
Proven track record of successfully managing HR functions
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
