Role Overview:
The Regional Head – South will be responsible for driving business growth across the Southern markets by implementing strategic sales initiatives, managing distributor networks, ensuring execution excellence at retail levels, and building a strong team. The role requires a high-energy, entrepreneurial professional with deep market knowledge of the alco-bev industry in the Southern region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with company targets.
- Achieve volume, market share, revenue, and profitability goals.
Lead go-to-market strategy and ensure brand visibility across channels (On-trade & Off-trade).
Market Development:
- Identify new market opportunities and drive expansion into untapped territories.
- Monitor competitor activities and implement timely counter-strategies.
Build strong retail and institutional relationships.
Distributor & Channel Management:
- Appoint and manage distributors, ensuring adequate stock levels, service, and coverage.
- Negotiate terms, agreements, and credit policies as per company guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all state excise laws and regulations.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team across South India.
Set clear targets, track performance, and ensure motivation and capability development.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence, and periodic performance reports.
Monitor KPIs and ensure data-driven decision-making.
Liaison & Compliance:
- Liaise with state excise departments and ensure timely documentation and approvals.
- Maintain compliance with local laws, excise duties, and regulatory norms.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
10–15 years in sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior/regional role in the alco-bev industry. - Education:
Graduate or Post-graduate in any discipline. Location Exposure:
Deep market knowledge of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.Skills:
- Strong distributor/channel management skills
- Leadership and team development abilities
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making
- Familiarity with excise laws and regulatory frameworks in South India
