Join us as a Principal Email Marketing Strategist  and help us do what we do best: propelling business forward.Know more about us .In this role, you will join the Marketing Operations team to support the needs of Progress’ diverse and growing demand generation and field marketing teams. You will work on complex business needs with competing priorities, so we would expect you to be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding environment where you will be handling high-profile initiatives. Because of the collaborative nature of this role, you will need to be a strong project manager & relationship builder and have outstanding verbal and written communication skillsIn this role, you will: Campaign Strategy & Planning - Develop end-to-end email marketing strategies for lead generation, nurturing, onboarding, and retention. Align campaigns with broader GTM and lifecycle marketing initiatives. Audience Segmentation & Personalization - Leverage marketing technology tools (e.g., Eloqua, SFDC, Data Warehouse) to segment audiences and tailor messaging based on behavior, lifecycle stage, and demographics Content & Creative Collaboration - Partner with designers, copywriters, and product marketers to ensure compelling email content and visuals are crafted. Ensure consistency with brand voice and campaign objectives. Execution & Optimization - Build and deploy campaigns and nurture programs by using tools like Eloqua, SendGrid, Salesloft. A/B test subject lines, CTAs, and layouts to improve open and click-through rates. Performance Analysis & Reporting - Track KPIs such as open rate, CTR, conversion rate, and unsubscribe rate. Use insights to refine strategy and report on ROI. Communication Filters & Frequency Governance - Define and enforce communication frequency rules to prevent fatigue and optimize engagement. Advice on ‘omni-channel’ communicational strategy to ensure that the right message reaches the right audience at the right time across email, in-app, and other digital touchpoints Compliance & Best Practices - Ensure all campaigns comply with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and internal data governance policies. Stay current on email marketing trends, industry best practices and innovations. AI-Driven Optimization & Insights: Utilize AI tools for: Predictive send-time optimization Subject line and content generation Automated A/B testing and performance forecasting Your background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required Solid experience in Email Marketing strategy and execution; preferably in a start-up environment Experience using AI-powered tools for send-time optimization, subject line and content generation; Automated A/B testing and performance forecasting Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies into campaign workflows Experience working with Eloqua (or a similar marketing automation tool) and Salesforce CRM in operational capacity preferred Excellent organizational, communication skills, and project management skills Excellent written and verbal English language skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment If this sounds like you and fits your experience and career goals, we’d be happy to chat.
