Social Media & Content Specialist  

As a Social Media & Content Specialist at Digital Nest, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing content strategies to engage and convert our audience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product development, to create high-quality content that aligns with our brand and resonates with our target audience. 


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Social Media Monitoring: Keep a close eye on all company social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) email marketing, guest posting, and partnerships, to increase brand visibility and engagement. 
  • Content Creation: Create a variety of content types, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, reels, website, email campaigns, infographics, videos, and more, to attract and engage our target audience. Create / Curate content ( taking photos, writing copy, designing or modifying graphics, editing videos, making reels and IGTV content) and proofread content for errors and inconsistencies, ensuring top-notch quality. 
  • Audience Research: Conduct market research and gather insights to understand our audience's needs, preferences, and pain points. Use this information to tailor content and messaging effectively. 
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of content using various analytics tools to measure engagement, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators. Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing and engaging content. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance in content creation. 

 

Desired Abilities & Experience  

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field. 
  • 2+ years experience in Social Media Handling. 
  • 1+ years experience in content writing. Experience in the Edtech industry is a plus. 
  • An impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions, and excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media best practices. 
  • Experience in Email and WhatsApp marketing and possess an understanding of automation tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, and HubSpot. 

 

Hiring Process for Social Media and Content Specialist  

 

  • Round Zero with HR (20 mins): A discussion to get to know you, tell you more about us, 
  • Technical Round (5 hours): Point of Focus will be the quality of the content you deliver and your understanding of the social media platforms. 
  • Round Two with the Hiring Manager (45 mins): Discussion will be focused on company expectations, current KPIs of your role, skills and awareness of tools. 
  • Final Round with the CEO : (30 mins): (In Person) This round will focus on cultural fitness and market/trend awareness.
