Renee Cosmetics is seeking Assistant Manager NPD
Responsibilities
NPD Manager:
Product Development Strategy:
Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for new products.
Innovation Pipeline: Develop and maintain a pipeline of new product ideas and concepts based on market research and consumer feedback.
Packaging Development : Responsible for Packaging Development
Project Management:
Planning and Execution: Lead and manage the development process of new cosmetic products from concept to launch, including planning, timelines, and resource allocation.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with various departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of product development projects.
Formulation Development:
Ingredient Selection: Collaborate with chemists and formulators to select ingredients that meet the brand’s standards for efficacy, safety, and compliance.
Testing and Optimization: Oversee the formulation process, including testing and optimization of product formulations to achieve desired performance and quality.
Regulatory Compliance:
Compliance Management: Ensure that all new products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, EU regulations) for safety and efficacy.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with labeling and ingredient disclosure requirements.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
Sourcing: Identify and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors for raw materials, packaging, and other components essential to product development.
Quality Control: Ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and address any issues related to the quality of ingredients or materials.
Product Testing and Validation:
Consumer Testing: Coordinate consumer testing and focus groups to gather feedback and validate product performance, efficacy, and appeal.
Performance Metrics: Analyze testing results and make necessary adjustments to improve product performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Product Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the development process, including formulations, testing results, and regulatory submissions.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on the status of development projects to senior management and other stakeholders.
Trend Analysis and Innovation:
Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging trends in the cosmetic industry, including new technologies, ingredients, and consumer preferences.
Innovation Initiatives: Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Brand Alignment:
Brand Consistency: Ensure that new products align with the brand’s identity, values, and positioning in the market.
Collaborative Development: Work with marketing and design teams to ensure that product concepts are consistent with the brand’s image and market strategy.
Problem Solving:
Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the product development process, including formulation problems, supply chain disruptions, or regulatory hurdles.
