Profile Description: IKS health is a growing Physician enablement platform that is at the cusp of revolutionizing outpatient care delivery. The goal is to free Physicians of all the administrative tasks, while enabling them to focus on patients and improve outcomes. We need innovative thinkers and doers to steer our innovative ideas from conceptualization to viable, scalable solution offerings.

The role would be responsible for design, development and pilot implementation of new offerings and major enhancements to existing offerings. Focus on new features, especially for the front office. Handle 1-2 projects at any time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prompt Development & Optimization:
  • Design and develop prompts that guide AI models in transforming medical transcripts into structured, accurate, and comprehensive clinical chart notes.
  • Continuously refine and iterate on prompts based on feedback and performance data to improve accuracy, relevance, and adherence to clinical documentation standards.
  • Clinical Expertise Application:
  • Use medical knowledge to ensure the AI-generated notes reflect clinical accuracy, proper medical terminology, and contextual appropriateness.
  • Ensure that the final chart notes align with regulatory and documentation standards, such as SOAP format (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan), ICD coding, and other compliance guidelines.
  • Collaboration with AI and Engineering Teams:
  • Work closely with AI researchers, software developers, and data scientists to translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify gaps in current systems and design prompts that address specific challenges in medical documentation.
  • Testing & Evaluation:
  • Evaluate the performance of AI-generated notes through rigorous testing, ensuring consistency and accuracy in clinical output.
  • Identify errors, biases, or inconsistencies in the generated notes and iterate on prompt design to improve results.
  • Continuous Learning & Adaptation:
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in natural language processing (NLP) and AI technologies as they relate to healthcare documentation.
  • Adapt prompts to evolving medical knowledge, clinical best practices, and AI capabilities.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Document processes and best practices for prompt creation and optimization.
  • Train and guide other team members on effective prompt engineering techniques tailored to clinical use cases.
  • Project planning:
  • Plan in advance for implementation of all projects in the line of business, adjusting for resource constraints. Anticipate potential bottlenecks and prepare contingency for the same.
  • Estimate value to customers from the IKS solution/ feature
  • Support the sale of the pilot to potential clients (internal/external), including through support research, analysis, and presentation.
  • Lead conversations with clients on evaluation of the pilot and adapting the solution to improve the value proposition of clinical documentation through AI.
  • Conduct assessment of the client problem and structure the solution to the problem related to clinical documentation
  • Conduct internal testing/POC using client data/ dummy data to create clinical chart notes
  • Defining production KRAs, Quality control mechanisms, governance mechanisms of the AI solution
  • Project Management: Prepare and update Gantt charts, document, track and report progress on implementation of the pilot project, aim towards continuous process innovation.

Client:

  • Conduct assessment of the client problem and structure the solution to the problem
  • Divide the solution workflow into discrete work-streams that can be performed with technology or manually. Evaluate different ways of dividing the solution and implementing the workstreams
  • Support the sale of the pilot to potential clients, including through support research, analysis, and presentation.
  • Lead conversations with clients on evaluation of the pilot and adapting the solution to improve the value proposition.


Qualifications:

  • Medical Background: Medical graduate (MBBS or above) with strong clinical knowledge and experience in creating or working with clinical chart notes.
  • Understanding of Clinical Documentation: Familiarity with standard clinical documentation practices (e.g., SOAP / APSO notes, ICD codes, CPT codes, and HCC codes).
  • Experience with AI or NLP: Advanced understanding of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, or machine learning technologies.


Role Prerequisites:

  • Prior experience with AI prompt engineering is a must .
  • Ability to critically evaluate and optimize prompts based on performance data and real-world application in healthcare settings.
  • A keen eye for clinical accuracy and consistency in AI-generated notes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams (AI engineers, clinicians, data scientists)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Knowledge of the ethical considerations in AI prompt development, including addressing biases and ensuring fairness in outputs related to US healthcare and clinical documentation in specific.
