Through this domain, Valuetree provides Just-In-Time supplies of various raw materials, ingredients, speciality chemicals and excipients to its large enterprise customers. The service is enabled by a proprietary technology that has been developed inhouse. The BDM role is pivotal in identifying and seizing market opportunities in this domain, understanding and leveraging supply chain &/or sourcing intricacies, and forging strong relationships with customers. Experience in acquiring and managing large enterprise customers for similar services or solutions will be highly regarded: supply network management, JIT supplies, Tail spend management, supplier consolidation or supplier base optimization. We are looking for candidates preferably experienced in the categories of raw materials, ingredients, speciality chemicals, excipients & APIs. Candidates with experience in indirect materials may also apply, provided they have managed enterprise customer accounts for similar services or solutions. Proactive Sales Engagement: Lead the creation and conversion of sales prospects, drawing on sourcing and supply chain insights. Tailor solutions to meet the unique demands of each customer. Customer Relationship Excellence: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with clients through regular visits and interactions, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Supplier and Account Management: Enhance relationships with critical suppliers, contributing to the solution Efficiently manage major customer accounts, ensuring alignment with company KPIs.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly across departments (supply chain, customer service, accounts) to deliver comprehensive pre and post-sales service. Market Intelligence: Keep a close watch on competing solutions and their strategies Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in solutions &/or technologies
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA highly preferred). At least 7 to 12 years of proven experience in business development, ideally experienced in the categories of raw materials, ingredients, speciality chemicals, excipients & APIs. Candidates with experience in indirect materials may also apply, provided they have managed enterprise customer accounts for similar services or solutions. Experience in acquiring and managing large enterprise customers for similar services or solutions: supply network management, JIT supplies, Tail spend management, supplier consolidation or supplier base optimization. Basic understanding of and customer relationships in FMCG, Food, Pharma, OTC, Agrochemicals, Chemicals or other industries requiring network management solutions A strong foundation &/or understanding of sourcing and supply chain intricacies at customers’ end Exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management. Pro-active independent worker with a knack for thriving in cross-functional teams.
