Role Description

We are looking for a motivated Chemical Process Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in process design, scale-up, and pilot plant operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in process engineering tools, instrumentation, and bioprocess technologies, particularly in algal photobioreactors

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  2. Perform pump hydraulics, line sizing, and piping/fittings selection for process systems.
  3. Support scale-up, piloting, and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
  4. Collaborate with control & automation teams on PLC, SCADA, and PID controllers for process automation.
  5. Conduct technical studies, mass & energy balances, and process optimization.
  6. Provide process support for operation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
  7. Work on design, operation, and optimization of algal photobioreactors and related bioprocess systems.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor's / Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  2. 2–3 years of experience in chemical/process design or bioprocess engineering.
  3. Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, pump hydraulics, line sizing, piping standards.
  4. Exposure to PLC/SCADA systems and PID controllers.
  5. Hands-on experience in process scale-up and piloting.
  6. Working knowledge of bioreactors / algal photobioreactors is a strong advantage.
  7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
