Role Description
We are looking for a motivated Chemical Process Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in process design, scale-up, and pilot plant operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in process engineering tools, instrumentation, and bioprocess technologies, particularly in algal photobioreactors
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform pump hydraulics, line sizing, and piping/fittings selection for process systems.
- Support scale-up, piloting, and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with control & automation teams on PLC, SCADA, and PID controllers for process automation.
- Conduct technical studies, mass & energy balances, and process optimization.
- Provide process support for operation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement.
- Work on design, operation, and optimization of algal photobioreactors and related bioprocess systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in chemical/process design or bioprocess engineering.
- Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, pump hydraulics, line sizing, piping standards.
- Exposure to PLC/SCADA systems and PID controllers.
- Hands-on experience in process scale-up and piloting.
- Working knowledge of bioreactors / algal photobioreactors is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
