Summary:The role of Security operations manager at Blackbox, Bangalore office will have the responsibility of overseeing the technical design, testing, Implementation and effectiveness of all IT Security solutions, tools and platforms within the organization. The role require expertise in security operations creating an environment of technical and administrative Assurance to protect , govern and secure systems, data , Applications , digital assets like laptops , network devices etc. including business continuity and disaster recovery related operations. The role covers strategic oversight covering all elements of IT Security in an organization including establishing and improving processes and procedures as they are directly responsible for supporting the day-to-day security operation functions of the security department for the geography including hands-on-ability to collate required information regarding security operations. Strong all-round technical communication skills are a must because these managers design, implement and communicate security procedures to service the security needs of a global organization. Managers require strong supervisory abilities because they oversee all security of systems and keep the organization safe from cyber and physical threats from both external and internal threat actors. The security operations manager will also be responsible to support compliance efforts with internal / external Security Audits and globally known frameworks. The Security operations Manager will also hire, train, evaluate, and perform improvements to processes and procedures as needed with the objective of keeping the technical and physical landscape free from threats, risks, and sabotage –both intentional and unintentional. Analytic skills and problem-solving abilities are necessary because security operations managers must evaluate existing security and safety protocols and work to improve efficiency by analyzing and implementing emergent procedures. The role will require the ability to prioritize tasks because they are directly responsible for the day-to-day oversight of security operations for the organizations given location across technical, systems, applications, networks et. Landscape. The role also requires security operations to be compliant to internal policies and industry best practices.
Essential Functions:Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security operations ,Policies and procedures and Industry best practices.Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding Company assets and resources.Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high quality security servicesOversee the technical planning and coordination of security operations during high-risk eventsOversee the coordination of staff during an emergency / BCP/ DRP situation.Prioritize tasks and manage teams to ensure effective distribution of workload.Have and maintain technical expertise in all aspects of security to govern and advise team.Keep track of incidents in order to evaluate them and recommend a course of actionOversee Physical security aspects around building premises/ facilities.Ensure security, management and recovery of company assets like laptops etc.Develop and manage the processes for securing classified and sensitive informationSet up key controls on company equipment and facility to limit access to restricted propertyMaintain, Track , Manage the Security Products and tools on areas like license cost , renewals etc.Prepare and present reports of incidents and ways to limit reoccurrenceLiaise / support communications with public law enforcement agencies and fire department when requiredManage and track all security operational activities , projects and report timely basis to VP – Infosec.
Education Requirements:Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent, relevant experience.Security Certifications - CISSP,CISM,CISA,CRISC,CEHKnowledge and Understanding of Security & Governance Frameworks – NIST,ISO 27001,ISO 20000,PCIDSS,GDPR,SOC2
Experience Requirements:8 to 10 + years of experience as a hands on manager of security operations and/or playing a significant lead role in owning Security operations and governing day-to-day security operational activitiesExpertise in core IT , technical security concepts , security products / tools , Governance , risk and compliance, Industry frameworks,Experience in design/deployment business process responsibilities involving complex requirements assessment, process/procedure design and implementation related to the IT Security services and IT Technology industryAbility to manage self and team workload, lead a team of Security engineers , follow up with open items , triage and resolve incidence and take ownerships and responsibility of all aspects of day-to-day security operations
Other Qualifications, Skills & Certifications:Excellent knowledge/ experience about IT Security , IT Risk , IT ComplianceExcellent problem solving and systems analysis skills with demonstrated success in root cause analysis, effectiveness measurements and related documentationAbility to work effectively across all functional groups to optimize product & service offerings, fostering a seamless internal and external client experience and track record of timely and accurate issue resolutionProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,), Project, Outlook, SharePoint, service delivery management tools such as Service Now and related cloud based technology systems
