POSITION SUMMARY

As an Application Specialist (cross functional role) in the Procurement and Supply Chain domains, you will serve as a liaison between business customers and IT, along with using functional and technical skillsets to resolve support tickets, execution of user access controls, analysis of business requirements, conduct business process mapping, convert requirements into technical specifications and use SQL to optimize data queries and transformations. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot  level 1 and 2 incidents tickets by working closely with buyers, business analysts, systems engineers, software vendors and other IT groups
  • Disposition 3 rd party software issues to software  vendors  and ensure issues are resolved using project management techniques 
  • Become expert of applications in your domain and advise users on properly use application to avoid system issues
  • Support and drive SOX control execution around user controls and change controls
  • Troubleshoot or optimize SQL quires in integration layer between ERP and Purchasing Applications
  • Elicit and document functional, non-functional requirements and convert into technical requirements and specifications for code development
  • Create and execute test cases for fixes, enhancements and projects to ensure UAT readiness and zero defect
  • Create and execute countermeasures and permanent fixes using problem solving skills including situation appraisal, problem analysis, decision analysis, potential problem and opportunity analysis

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience 
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Procurement and Purchasing systems 
  • 3+ years of experience with creating and SQL data quires 
  • Able to learn new techniques, methods and able to apply knowledge in practice 
  • Able to work onsite
  • Able to support US workhours when required 
  • Experience working with E2Open Supply Management or PO Collaboration is a plus 
  • Experience working in global corporation or international business environment is preferred 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Must be fluent in English and effectively communicate with global customers and differing cultures is required
  • Ability to write and interpret reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and business customers

 

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems, involving many variables, in different situations
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to spot issues and identify patterns that may present risks or opportunities to projects
