Job Title: Vice President (VP) of Projects – Corporate Interior Fitouts
Location: Pune
Reports to: Director
Job Summary:
The VP of Projects will be responsible for leading and managing the full lifecycle of interior fit-out projects for corporate spaces. This leadership role requires comprehensive oversight of planning, design, execution, and completion of large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations. The VP will also be responsible for managing the project management team, coordinating with design and construction teams, and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
Lead and manage multiple large-scale corporate interior fit-out projects from concept to completion.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Oversee the development of project schedules, resource allocation, and coordination with all relevant teams.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures when necessary to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Strategic Planning & Management:
Develop project execution strategies and risk management plans.
Align project goals with the company’s strategic objectives and ensure client satisfaction.
Drive innovation and the adoption of industry best practices to improve project delivery.
Team Leadership & Development:
Provide strong leadership to the project management team, including mentoring, training, and performance management.
Build and manage a high-performing team capable of delivering projects at scale.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (designers, procurement, and construction teams) and external partners (contractors, vendors, and consultants).
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for key corporate clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
Conduct regular meetings and communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project progress.
Handle negotiations, resolve disputes, and ensure long-term relationships are maintained.
Financial Oversight:
Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Approve and monitor project budgets, manage change orders, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Ensure timely invoicing and manage cash flow for all projects.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Maintain a focus on quality assurance throughout the design, construction, and handover phases of each project.
Business Development & Growth:
Collaborate with business development teams to explore new opportunities in the corporate interior fit-out sector.
Contribute to the growth strategy of the business through market analysis, relationship building, and securing new clients.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
12+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role within the corporate interior fit-out industry.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale corporate interior fit-out projects.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and profitability management.
In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong network within the corporate fit-out, construction, and design industries.
