Unifi Foundation is committed to various community development activities, healthcare programs, cultural and sports events, environmental preservation initiatives, vocational training, children's educational activities, and the promotion of social entrepreneurship. As part of Unifi’s 25 th anniversary social commitment, the foundation aims to build a significant new venture to evaluate and directly provide financial support to the healthcare requirements of marginalized communities and vulnerable members of society. The Foundation will empanel a network of socially minded hospitals in several locations across the country for this purpose.
Job Summary: We are looking for a full-time Medical Director to lead this initiative. The Medical Director will develop impactful strategies, establish formal arrangements with hospitals, and oversee the foundation's functioning, ensuring alignment with Unifi Capital’s CSR goals.
Assisted by a suitable team and technology, it will be the incumbent’s responsibility to assess and approve requests for financial assistance received from individuals through the network of approved hospitals from different cities in India. This will be based on the merits of the case and on the parameters laid down by the foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Partnerships for referral of patients who need help:
Establish strategic partnerships with trusted healthcare providers or hospitals to ensure effectiveness of the referral network.
Collaborate with community-based NGOs to leverage expertise and resources.
Establish proper policies and systems:
Design and develop manual processes and IT systems to support the smooth and efficient implementation of the foundation’s policies. Proper patient record keeping, financial accounting and reporting are also essential.
Assess Needs & disburse funds promptly:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify health priorities and areas of greatest need among marginalized communities and vulnerable members of society.
Evaluate and approve the applications received from network hospitals for extending financial assistance to the patient.
Medical Advisory Board:
Collaborate with the board to develop effective policies, and seek their guidance to review applications we receive for aid.
Human Resource Management:
Build and motivate a small and empowered team for efficient service delivery.
Skills and Abilities:
Passion for creating social impact and a deep understanding of the healthcare needs of marginalized communities.
Experience as a doctor or in similar roles. Ideally a medical professional who is near the end of a great career and would like to lend a hand to give back to society.
Qualifications:
Medical professionals willing to contribute their expertise to social work and public healthcare.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare, public health, or a related field.
Compensation: As per industry standards.
