Unifi Capital Pvt Ltd. is a prominent Asset Management Firm headquartered in Chennai with branches in major cities. Unifi actively engages in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities through Unifi Foundation, dedicated to developing and executing its not-for-profit projects.
- Unifi Foundation is committed to various community development activities, healthcare programs, cultural and sports events, environmental preservation initiatives, vocational training, children's educational activities, and the promotion of social entrepreneurship.
As part of Unifi's 25th-anniversary social commitment, the foundation aims to establish a significant new venture to evaluate and provide financial support for the healthcare needs of marginalized communities and vulnerable members of society. The Foundation will establish a network of socially responsible hospitals in multiple locations across the country for this purpose.
Job Summary:
We are searching for a full-time Medical Director to lead this initiative. The Medical Director will develop impactful strategies, establish formal partnerships with hospitals, and oversee the foundation's operations to ensure alignment with Unifi Capital's CSR objectives. Supported by a competent team and technology, the incumbent will be responsible for evaluating and approving requests for financial assistance from individuals through the approved hospital network in various Indian cities based on predefined criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and Partnerships for referrals of patients in need:
- Establish strategic partnerships with reputable healthcare providers or hospitals to ensure the efficacy of the referral system.
- Collaborate with community-based NGOs to leverage expertise and resources.
- Establish robust policies and systems:
- Develop manual processes and IT systems to support the effective implementation of the foundation's policies.
- Maintain proper patient records, financial accounts, and reporting.
- Assess Needs & distribute funds promptly:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify health priorities among marginalized communities and vulnerable individuals.
- Evaluate and approve applications for financial assistance from network hospitals.
- Medical Advisory Board:
- Work with the board to formulate effective policies and seek guidance on reviewing aid applications.
- Human Resource Management:
- Develop and inspire a small, empowered team for efficient service delivery.
Skills and Abilities:
- Passion for creating social impact and profound understanding of healthcare needs in marginalized communities.
- Background as a medical professional or in similar roles, ideally nearing the end of a distinguished career and interested in contributing to societal well-being.
Qualifications:
- Medical professionals willing to apply their expertise to social work and public healthcare.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare, public health, or a related field.
