Our journey started 8 years ago from India and currently we are scaling our business in UAE, Thailand and Australia. Our vision is to drive happier car ownership experiences. We are India’s 2nd largest used car player after Maruti True value. In online used car players we are the largest used car player and miles ahead of all other online players.


We are looking for a head of product design for all our India business. Our core businesses are buying, selling and financing used cars, we are also rapidly expanding into newer growth verticals that will further expand our product portfolios.


We are looking for a

  • leader who principally likes to solve business problems by design thinking.
  • Love to mentor designers and product managers and talk about how design can make a larger impact on the organisation.
  • Have an ability to work and influence multiple stakeholders.
  • Love to navigate through data and draw key hypothesis , and most importantly, Have a bias for action

The design team at Cars24 keeps user experience at the core of our central goal of building the next-gen online automotive marketplace. Our designers are advocates of our users, partners and stakeholders, tasked with bringing their voices to the forefront. Through iterative research and development, our designers’ human centric approach informs and elevates our digital channels and our business as a whole. Our Product Designers straddle the realms of user experience, technology and systems thinking effortlessly. They’re responsible for conceptualising new ways of improving our engagement with our various internal and external users through a rigorous application of the design process; from research and ideation to prototyping and validation. They interface seamlessly with product managers, data scientists and technologists, to collectively drive the creation of new and intuitive experiences.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Lead a team of 15+ product designers and researchers
  2. Derive actionable user insights for product and business
  3. Develop, iterate and improvise design language systems at Cars24.
  4. Oversee the user experience for our digital products, including the creation of process artefacts like Personas, User Journeys, Information Architecture, Interaction patterns, task-flows, sketches, wireframes, etc.
  5. Oversee design experiments and validation exercises like talk along tests, focus group discussions, A/B testing, usability testing etc. to effectively measure and learn from the outcomes of the design process.
  6. Interface with key functions like data-science, analytics, product management and development to assimilate insights from their disciplines into decision making.
  7. Provide guidance, feedback to fellow colleagues and designers



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • 8-15 yrs of Experience in designing digital products

  • M.Des from IDC, NID, IITs or other design schools of national repute

  • Fluency with design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, Invision, XD, etc.

  • Understanding of digital experience principles and methodologies including heuristics, affordances, atomic design systems, laws of UX etc. We must know the rules before we bend/break them

  • Understanding of qualitative research methodologies like semi-structured interviews, user diaries, ethnographic studies and standard frameworks like affinity diagrams, user journey maps, service blueprints etc.

  • Understanding of implementation and measurement challenges across mobile (iOS and Android), web and hybrid solutions. Familiarity with usability testing, A/B testing, and analytics based feedback
