The opportunity:

As a single-threaded HR leader in the India & Vietnam market, the Human Resources Manager provides an exciting opportunity to contribute your experiences and passion for all things talent and people in a complex and global business. This individual will drive and partner with an India & Vietnam based business team and support employees' experiences there. The role will report into the Director of People APAC and will be part of the APAC People team. 

This role will be responsible for the development of Flexport’s India & Vietnam people experiences, including: employee hiring, onboarding, talent management & development, talent review & processes, performance management processes, promotion processes, employee engagement and off boarding processes, the whole employee lifecycle in India & Vietnam countries. In addition, this role will play a critical role in presenting Flexport culture & values. 

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying challenges within the People function and implementing innovative solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration with Tech Leaders, Business Leaders, support functions, and global & regional business partners will be key to success in this role. The successful candidate will have a results-oriented mindset, strong business acumen, and a relentless work ethic.

You will:

Lead efforts to achieve operational excellence and enhance efficiency in people processes, actively contributing to the successful implementation of global and regional HR programs. Act as a strategic partner to Tech, business leaders, and employees at all levels, providing consultation and guidance on HR matters as a trusted counselor. Collaborate closely with global & regional HR functions, including Recruiting, People Solutions, People Business Partner, Compensation & Benefit and other HR functions to align efforts with business and HR objectives, ensuring seamless HR service delivery and impactful outcomes. Ensure strict adherence to local employment laws and regulations, maintaining a high standard of compliance within the organization. Demonstrate an understanding of business needs and trends to help drive the business forward.  Partner with hiring leaders and broader Recruiting team to identify, evaluate, and guide candidates through our hiring process, partner with different HR functions to handle onboarding, performance management, Employee development, HR programs, off boarding, Employee relations, HR compliance etc all HR matters. Contribute to the Employee Experiences and help us champion our Flexport Culture.

You should have:

Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or a related field.  8-11 years of progressive HR experiences directly supporting employees and leaders at a MNC high-growth company or start-up. Strong knowledge of India & Vietnam labor law and local regulations. Advanced knowledge of HR policies and practices especially on local C&B. Preferred experiences supporting a Tech business.  HR generalist background, demonstrated competence in various HR functions areas: employee lifecycle. Action-orientated, with a sense of urgency and willingness to fill the gap, collaborator with an ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, and excellent at working cross-functionally with other business departments. Ability to be comfortable being challenged and decision making in a complex working environment.
