Cengage Learning India is looking for a proactive, driven, and customer-centric ELT Sales Representative to promote National Geographic Learning (NGL) products across K–12 schools in the assigned territory. This role involves building strong academic and institutional relationships, driving product adoption, and achieving sales targets for extraordinary ELT content that encourages learning through real-world connections. Drive sales of NGL ELT products (student books, teacher resources, digital solutions) in K–12 schools. Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Plan and complete school visits, demos, and presentations in line with the academic calendar. Identify key accounts, manage adoptions, and ensure strong post-sales engagement. Effectively present NGL’s differentiated value proposition, including real-world content, rich visuals, and NEP-aligned pedagogy. Explain alignment with curriculum frameworks (CBSE, ICSE, and state boards) and digital learning trends. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with school principals, English HODs, teachers, procurement heads, and key collaborators. Engage with school chains, group schools, and decision-makers to drive bulk adoptions. Work closely with academic consultants and the product/marketing teams to tailor presentations and collateral to customer needs. Provide market feedback to support product development and improvement initiatives. Maintain up-to-date sales data, visit records, and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system. Develop sales strategies and plan of the entire activities to develop maximum business for the company. Travel Requirements: This role requires frequent travel to customers within the territory. Graduate degree in any field (English, Education, or Business preferred). ~2–6 years of experience in ELT or school publishing sales (experience with international ELT brands preferred). ~ Familiarity with India’s school education landscape, academic structures, and ELT pedagogy. ~ Proficiency in English, Hindi, and other regional languages. ~ Experience/Achievements Field sales experience – consistently hitting plan. Experience within the K-12 market. Experience of and confidence in negotiating large contracts on a national basis.
