Job Description 

Operational Risk Management is a key component of the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization and works globally across all lines of business (LOB) and Corporate Functions (CF) providing oversight of the firm’s compliance, conduct and operational risk management activities executed by the LOBs/CFs. Operational Risk is responsible for the design and execution of the CCOR Framework which includes establishing policies and standards that set forth the minimum requirements for LOBs/CFs regarding the identification, measurement, monitoring, management, and reporting of compliance, conduct, and operational risk.

As an Operational Risk Management Vice President, you will work within the central Operational Risk Management team, providing direct support to the governance processes including the establishment and maintenance of standards, policies and guidance for LOBs/CFs.

Responsibilities:

Support Operational Risk Management governance activities including reviewing, updating and socializing Standards that align to the requirements of the CCOR Framework. Analyze and review Operational Risk data to assess and measure the Operational Risk environment and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in thematic reviews on areas of high operational risk and/or emerging risks to identify potential control gaps.  Promote and instill a strong culture of operational risk management, partnering with the business and second-line functions to continually improve operational risk governance and oversight. This role interacts with the US Operational Risk Management teams, located cross region; it is critical that this candidate be able to work flexible hours.  Participate in organization wide projects undertaken within ORM, including, but not limited to, working group meetings with 10+ stakeholders, to help drive engagement, analytics, and support the preparation of meeting materials  Liaise with key stakeholders to gather inputs and feedback as it pertains to the operational risk standards and governance processes.  Work collaboratively with global team members across LOBs and Corporate Functions and participate actively in working groups. Review operational risk events to assess and challenge root cause analysis, recurrent themes and remediation, and drive value-added changes. Engage with global horizontal risk programs (., Business Resiliency, Third-Party Outsourcing) to ensure that business practices remain in line with firmwide changes Prepare materials for regional and global forums to promote business awareness of the outcomes of Operational Risk activities, and support Operational Risk engagement in regulatory deliverables. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, required; technical or business degree strongly preferred 12+ years’ experience with a large financial institution (Compliance, Audit, Controls background) preferred  Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, results driven, fast-paced environment Effective collaborator, including ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners at all levels of the organization  Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities, uses sound judgement, and navigates ambiguity to get things done Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with communicating to senior-level personnel Detail-oriented; with a high level of attention to detail  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Moderate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred Analyze data effectively, provide insights in easily understandable terms Possess a sense of urgency, proactive, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, excellent analytical, problem solving skills  Established record of meticulous attention to detail with critical tasks Working hours 2:30 - 11:30 pm IST
