Job Purpose:

The Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk Specialist is a key professional tasked with developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive risk management strategies within the organization. This role combines responsibilities related to both enterprise-level risks and operational risks, ensuring a holistic approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats.


Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment and Identification:

Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify and analyze potential risks affecting strategic objectives.

Assess operational risks associated with day-to-day activities and business processes.

Risk Mitigation Strategies:

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for both enterprise and operational risks.

Collaborate with business units to establish effective risk controls and monitoring mechanisms.

Governance and Compliance:

Establish and enforce governance structures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Monitor changes in regulations and assess their impact on enterprise and operational risk frameworks.

Good understanding of Financial crime mitigation and OFAC, HMT, UN and EU sanctions.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):

Implement and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management framework, monitoring the factors impacting the key risks

Work with executive leadership to align risk management strategies with overall business objectives.

Operational Risk Management:

Identify and assess operational risks associated with processes, systems, and personnel.

Implement controls and measures to mitigate operational risks and enhance resilience, through periodical interaction with process leaders.

Risk Reporting and Communication:

Develop and deliver comprehensive risk reports for executive leadership and stakeholders, with ability to make board makes and presentation.

Periodically communicate risk monitoring observations and control recommendations to relevant stakeholders across the organization.

Incident Response and Business Continuity:

Collaborate with the business continuity team to integrate risk management into incident response plans.

Ensure the organization's readiness to respond to disruptions and mitigate potential operational impacts.

Continuous Improvement:

Regularly review and enhance risk management processes and methodologies.

Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management within the organization.

Training and Education:

Conduct training sessions to educate employees on enterprise and operational risk management principles.

Coordinate with the group risk management team for ensuring the mandatory trainings like Information security, data protection, Financial crime and code of conduct are undertaken

Promote a shared understanding of risk responsibilities throughout the organization.


Experience & Qualification:


Over 10 years of relevant experience with post-graduation degree in Management or Finance (desirable) and Risk related certifications.
