Associate / Senior Associate, Financial Reporting - Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate / Senior Associate Financial Reporting to join our Operations team. The role involves preparing accurate financial and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Ireland requirements, and supporting fund-related reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting for investment funds and the ability to manage high-volume workloads with strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate financial statements with supporting workings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to financial statement queries.
Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory returns for the Central Bank of Ireland (MMIF Returns, NAV Return, PRISM Return, Quarterly Non-Irish Return).
Other Responsibilities
- Prepare fund income distribution calculations.
- Manage ad hoc information requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal service levels and external regulatory deadlines.
- Draft and maintain procedures in line with professional standards.
- Support process improvements for efficiency, control, and robustness.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Identify and escalate non-compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain professional competence and foster a positive, open team environment.
Education & Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accountancy.
- Partly or fully qualified CA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 6+ years in funds, capital markets, or financial domain.
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting, preparation of financial statements, and audits.
- Prior experience in financial reporting for investment funds is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of investment funds and instruments (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.).
