Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Investment Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and source potential investment opportunities through networking, industry research, and attending relevant events and conferences.Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive landscape assessments to evaluate the attractiveness of investment opportunities.Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other venture capitalists to build a robust deal pipeline.
Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, market research, and evaluation of business models and management teams.Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, highlighting key findings and recommendations.Collaborate with legal, financial, and technical advisors to assess potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Portfolio Management: Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies, leveraging industry expertise and network connections.Monitor and evaluate the performance of portfolio companies, identifying opportunities for growth and potential exit strategies.Serve as a board member or observer on select portfolio company boards, offering insights and support to drive value creation.
Strategy Development: Work with the leadership team to develop and refine the fund's investment strategy, including sector focus, geographic reach, and stage of investment.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and strategy.Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the fund, providing input on fundraising, investor relations, and marketing efforts.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop investment professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Lead by example, promoting best practices in investment analysis, deal execution, and portfolio management.Participate in internal training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

BE/, CA or a related field; MBA from a top tier B-School. 4-5 ys of investing experience in venture capital, private equity and growth equity Demonstrated track record of sourcing, evaluating, and managing successful investments. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform rigorous financial and market analysis. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and other stakeholders. Willingness to travel as needed to support investment activities and portfolio companies.
