The Financial Accountant isresponsible for the timely and accurate preparation consolidationand review of monthly management accounts in full compliance withIFRS reporting requirements and accounting policies. The roleinvolves coordinating annual budgeting and quarterly forecastingwith various teams preparing and reviewing quarterly financialforecasts and managing audits. The Financial Accountant will alsohandle daily allocation and monthly reconciliations of foreigncurrency bank accounts manage credit card reconciliations ensuretimely payments to suppliers and review balance sheetreconciliations.
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting:Timely and accurate monthly management accounts preparationconsolidation and review in full compliance with IFRS reportingrequirements and accountingpolicies.
  • Budgets: Coordinate annualbudgeting and quarterly forecasting with Sales DMC and CommercialTeams.
  • Forecasting: Prepare and reviewquarterly financial forecasts.
  • Audit: Prepare all informationfor audit timeously to ensure audit commencement deadlines are met.Liaise with auditors to execute audit and facilitate responsestimeously.
  • Management of Sales incentivesAudits.
  • Review and maintain accountingpolicies and procedures to ensure transactions are fully andaccurately disclosed to all stakeholders assets are accounted forand secured and risks are identified andmanaged.
  • Investigate and report variancesand implement controls to reduce variances whererelevant.
  • Bank: Daily allocation andmonthly reconciliations of foreign currency bankaccounts.
  • Bank: Releasing of supplierpayments.
  • Credit Cards: Management andreconciliations of credit cards on TravelIT.
  • Ensure timely payments to foreignsuppliers.
  • Ensure online suppliers'payments are releasedtimeously.
  • Review balance sheetreconciliations.
  • Any functions deemed necessary tocomplete monthend accurately andtimeously.

Qualificationsand Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree inFinance/Accounting or similar.
  • Proficient with MS OfficePackages and extensive knowledge ofExcel.
  • Knowledge of Tourplan isadvantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years'experience in General Ledger Journals and Bank ReconciliationAccounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and reporting in multiplecurrencies.
  • Handson selfdriven motivatedorganized and resultsoriented.
  • Excellent problemsolvingskills.
  • Comfortable in dealing with andtolerant of diverse cultures languages andenvironments.
  • Highly numerate and accurate withan eye for detail on numbers and analysis of financialresults.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3years' experience in General Ledger Journals and BankReconciliation Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable andreporting in multiplecurrencies.

SkillsRequired:
  • Handson selfdriven motivatedorganized and resultsoriented.
  • Excellent problemsolvingskills.
  • Comfortable in dealing with andtolerant of diverse cultures languages andenvironments.
