About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Operations Lead to oversee and streamline our core HR processes, with a strong focus on payroll management. This role involves leading HR operations activities including payroll, HR systems, compliance, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate is process-driven, tech-savvy, and has a strong understanding of labor laws and payroll practices.

. General HR Operations:

  • Maintain employee records in HRIS/ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with departments for onboarding, ID cards, and background verification.
  • Support audits by preparing required HR documentation and reports.

Attendance & Leave Management:

  • Manage biometric/time-tracking systems and ensure accuracy of attendance records.
  • Monitor absenteeism, shift schedules, and leave balances.
  • Reconcile attendance data with payroll for error-free salary processing.

Exit Management:

  • Handle the full and final settlement process including exit interviews, clearance, and documentation.
  • Ensure exit formalities are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Maintain exit data and generate attrition reports for analysis.

Payroll Management:

  • End-to-end payroll processing in coordination with finance/payroll vendor.
  • Ensure accurate salary computation, deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), reimbursements, and tax compliance.
  • Handle payroll queries, payslip distribution, and salary-related documentation

HR Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory regulations (Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, Maternity Benefit Act, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain statutory records/registers as required by authorities.
  • Handle labor inspections, audits, and liaison with legal or compliance consultants.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and SOPs in line with regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • Masterss degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 12-17 years of experience in HR operations with hands-on exposure to payroll, attendance, exit, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory norms.
  • Proficient in Excel, HRMS, and attendance/payroll systems (e.g., GreytHR, Keka, Zoho People, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
