Hiring specificationsJob Purpose: To lead and grow Novus Hi Tech’s Solar Business by acquiring new customers, building partnerships, and managing key client relationships across the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, with a focus on delivering custom solar energy solutions.Role Expectations:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Automation, setup solar plant for module cell.- Lead generation, Enquiry, Built sales pipeline- Engage with clients to understand energy requirements and propose suitable solar solutions.- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and lead negotiations to closure.- Collaborate with engineering, design, and project execution teams for seamless delivery.- Track industry trends, government policies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., net metering, subsidies).- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.- Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets and generate sustainable revenue.- Candidate should have experience working with solar projects and renewable energy systems.Reporting structure:- This role will report to: Head – Solar Division / Director – Business StrategyInteractions:Internal Stakeholders:- Engineering Teams, Design Teams, Project Execution Team, HODsExternal Stakeholders:- Solar Manufacturer and customer, Government/Discom Officials, Vendors, ConsultantsPEOPLE SPECIFICATIONSProfile: Ideally -- BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or Master’s degree or related field- 5-10 years of Sales or Business Development experience in the solar energy or renewable sector- Should have hands-on exposure to C&I rooftop solar or utility-scale solar manufacturing projectsRequisites:- Knowledge of solar energy systems, power electronics, and net metering processes- Familiarity with PPA models, CAPEX/OPEX business structures, and regulatory norms- Comfortable with client site visits, energy audits, and on-ground sales strategy executionCompetencies:Technical:- Understanding of solar manufacturing, installation of solar production line, PV system design and sizing- Basic technical knowledge of installation of production line and machinery used, inverters, panels, mounting structures, and battery systems- Ability to interpret load profiles, generate basic ROI calculations, and develop feasibility reports- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and CRM toolsBehavioral:Hi Tech way of working: We value behavior aligned with CCODERS- Customer First: Operate with customer success mind set and align all our actions accordingly.- Collaborative problem solving: Organization interest supersedes individual interests; working together to solve problems effectively.- Ownership & Commitment: Going above & beyond the call of duty while also keeping up with the promises & targets under any circumstances.- Data Driven, First Principle : Objective Decision making based on data (Not on Hunches)- Expanding-Growth Mind set: Be open to new challenges whilst willing to step out of comfort zone in order to learn and grow.- Result & commercial orientation: Manage cost and resources to achieve business outcomes & commercial success.- Speed and Scalable Process Approach: Deploy processes that are flexible, agile and unlocks business value with speed.
