Augmented Reality Development Intern

Responsibilities:

  • User Experience Design: Craft intuitive user interactions focusing on user-centric design principles.
  • Code Development: Write modular, reusable code in C++, C#, JavaScript, or other necessary languages, ensuring adherence to best practices and design patterns.
  • AR/VR Customization: Develop custom augmented and virtual reality experiences for enterprise use cases such as engineering, marketing, and service using Unity, Unreal Engine, and Vuforia Studio.
  • Virtual Environment Setup: Establish virtual environments for various AR and VR scenarios, including setting up 3D models, animations, and interactive elements.
  • UI Implementation: Develop user interfaces based on storyboards and utilize Creo Illustrate for sequence story creation, ensuring seamless integration with AR/VR environments.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with other developers and clients to assess project needs, perform technical feasibility analysis, and devise solutions.
  • Industry Trend Awareness: Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in augmented and virtual reality, including new tools, frameworks, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity Engine, including the development of complex AR/VR applications.
  • Conceptual Understanding: Strong grasp of 2D and 3D concepts, including CAD knowledge, and experience with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya).
  • Coding Proficiency: Expertise in object-oriented programming and industry-standard coding practices, particularly in C# and/or C++.
  • Game Engine Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of game engine concepts such as lighting, shaders, materials, meshes, animation systems, physics engines, and scripting.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven track record of working collaboratively within multi-person teams using source control (e.g., Git) and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Innovative approach to solving abstract design problems, especially in translating real-world concepts into VR, and experience with prototyping tools.
  • Task Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively through self-directed time management and organizational skills, with experience in project management tools.
