One of our highly reputed global major clients (MNC) in the domain of Engineering & Project Management (Oil & Gas Industry) is establishing India Head Quarter in a City in South India. They have more a dozen plus senior level vacancies. The most important one is:
HEAD: ENGINEERING
Provide overall leadership & management to the team.
-Provide & maintain required core competences within the team.
-Evaluate performance of the Engineering team & recommend to line management action/correction/adjustment.
-Manage load to avoid under-recovery
Establish & Promote internally & externally Operational Excellence of the Execution Centre.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Financial
-Participate in budget preparation.
Responsible for Overheads & training cost of the Engineering team.
-Responsible to maintain Zero under-recovery within the Engineering Team.
-Responsible to maintain the load of Engineering team.
2. Strategy
-Keeping abreast of company and regulatory obligations.
-Take appropriate actions and supporting the implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
-Promote Operational Excellence internally & externally.
3. Methods
-Deliver engineering activities through use of systematic documented
methodologies.
-Develop, document, implement & deliver Engineering Execution methods in in-line with Company strategy in coordination with the Operations team.
-Document & implement systematic approach to Engineering for E&P deliveries as well as EPC deliveries Competencies and manning.
-Responsible to attract & maintain competencies within the Execution Centre.
-Responsible to identify gaps in competency and to recommend action to implement to cover the gap.
-Responsible to develop commercial awareness of the team.
-Responsible to man-up all projects according to the demand from concept to studies/tendering and project execution.
Provide advice, direction and mentoring to direct reports.
4. Project Execution
-Participate actively in the execution of various activities of engineering for projects and ensure that the
deliverables are released as per the base plan.
-Resolve the issues arising in the execution by providing technical guidance to the team in timely manner.
-Responsible for the planning and execution of engineering works as per the overall schedules of various projects.
-Ensure that an efficient team is allocated for every project.
-Ensure understanding & implementation of a Change Management strategy, system & tool.
-Manage risks associated to engineering activities within projects as well as opportunities.
-Ensure that Engineering work is performed according to procedures and processes, within the timeframe, according to the budget and to the quality level expected.
-Ensure clarity of interfaces between the different roles in project engineering organization.
