The Role

Job Description

Position: Country Head (Sri Lanka)

Reporting to: Head SSA

Key Purpose of the Job:

  • Develop strategy for Sri Lanka and in-country expansion
  • Drive Revenue growth and profitability (P&L responsibility)
  • Create business growth plan for short term (1 year) and long term (3-5 years)
  • Maintain high level of customer focus: Vendor and partner engagement, introduce new products & services.
  • Foster an engaged and motivated team, enhance capability to achieve organizational goals effectively, form leadership team and identify potential successors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Distribution Management
  • Establish goals and objectives
  • Develop strategic and financial roadmap for short and long term (5 years)
  • Implement competitive business strategies & revenue plans;
  • Lead Sales and Strategic Key accounts for Sri Lanka
  • Manage P&L for the business and business plan delivery
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers (vendors and partners)
  • Identify suitable personnel for roles
  • Utilize market intelligence, product pricing & competitive analysis
  • Coordinate operations for maximum productivity and cost efficiency
  • Manage relationships with partners/suppliers
  • Evaluate company performance against objectives
  • Vendor management covering negotiation, margins, orders, supplies, and promotions
  • Conduct business research & analysis on competitor activities and trends
  • Identify new opportunities and territories, drive distributor profitability and oversee all business aspects

Ideal Profile

Educational Qualification / Experience required:

  • Graduate in any discipline (including engineering) with an MBA (Sales and Marketing specialization)
  • Fluent in regional languages (Sinhala and Tamil)
  • IT Distribution business understanding preferred
  • Experience: 18+ years
