Position: Area Sales Manager
Industry: Rice / Food Grains / FMCG
Location: Chittoor & Tirupati
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Sales Head

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets in the assigned area.
  • Appoint, train, and manage distributors, wholesalers, and retailers for rice products.
  • Lead and supervise a team of Sales Executives/Representatives, ensuring productivity and performance.
  • Monitor sales, distribution, and stock levels across the area to ensure smooth market operations.
  • Conduct regular market visits to identify business opportunities, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Drive promotional campaigns, product launches, and branding initiatives in the territory.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit policies.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback for management.
  • Build strong relationships with key trade partners and institutional buyers.
  • Mentor and develop the sales team for long-term business growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate / MBA in Marketing or Business Management (preferred).
  • 5–10 years of sales experience in FMCG / Rice / Food Grains industry,
  • Strong leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local market and distribution channels.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and develop growth strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
