Job Title: Lead Developer - Full Stack
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer - Full Stack to lead and grow our full-stack development team. This role will drive the technical vision, lead development projects from concept to deployment, and oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and will play an instrumental role in both hands-on development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership :
Lead the end-to-end architecture and development of full-stack applications, ensuring high standards in quality, performance, and scalability.
Establish best practices and frameworks for full-stack development, focusing on scalability and maintainability.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and frameworks, and introduce improvements and innovations to the tech stack.
Project Oversight :
Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for development tasks.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
Hands-on Development :
Contribute to the codebase, taking on complex development tasks, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Work on designing and implementing back-end services, front-end interfaces, and ensuring smooth data flow and system integration.
Design and maintain RESTful APIs, Graph QL, and data models for optimal performance.
Operational Excellence :
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing, integration, and continuous deployment.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and testing protocols.
Optimize development processes, tools, and workflows to increase productivity and quality.
5. Team Leadership & Mentorship :
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of full-stack developers, providing guidance on technical solutions and best practices.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear goals, and support the professional growth of team members.
Lead the hiring and onboarding process to grow the team with top talent.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience :
8+ years of full-stack development experience, with at least 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
Proven track record of managing development teams and leading software projects from conception to completion.
Technical Skills :
Microservices : Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Back-end : Strong proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js etc.).
Front-end : Experience with front-end frameworks like React/NextJS, Vue.js/Nuxt. or Angular
Data Management : Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
API Development : Skilled in designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
DevOps & CI/CD : Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Soft Skills :
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing engineering teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures.
Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
Knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization.
