Job description – FMCG Factory Manager

The Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including production planning, quality control, production management, operations management, and manufacturing operations. They will ensure the smooth running of the factory, optimize production processes, and maintain quality standards.

As a seasoned professional, you will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day activities of the factory, from workforce coordination to machinery maintenance. Utilize your leadership skills to motivate and guide the production team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Your role extends beyond the shop floor, involving strategic decision-making for resource allocation, budgeting, and overall factory optimization. Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance the factory's competitiveness.

1. Production Management Expertise:The Factory Incharge must possess a deep understanding of food manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control. This includes knowledge of machinery, dyeing processes, and finishing techniques specific to high-end active wear.

2. Team Leadership and Communication:Effective leadership is crucial for managing a large production team. The Incharge should have strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide the workforce. Clear communication is essential to ensure everyone is aligned with production goals and any changes in plans.3. Supply Chain Management:A comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics, including sourcing raw materials, managing inventory, and optimizing logistics, is necessary. This ensures a seamless flow of materials and timely production to meet the demand for high-end active wear.

4. Technology and Innovation Awareness:Staying updated on the latest technology trends and innovative practices in Food manufacturing is vital. This includes knowledge of industry-specific software, automation tools, and sustainable manufacturing practices, which can contribute to increased efficiency and product qualityQualificationsProduction Planning, Production Management, and Manufacturing Operations skillsExperience in quality control and operations managementStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesKnowledge of safety regulations and complianceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience in the FMCG Biscuit, Namkeen, Snacks industry is a plus
