Role / Job DescriptionThe Level 2 Support Engineer position at Lenovo India Private Limited is a challenging role. In this role you will work with various VMware products(vSphere vSAN NSX & vROPS, VCF, vRLI, SDDC Manager) to triage, analyze and troubleshoot the issues in complex Production environment.5+ years’ Experience vSphere Environment.3+ year’s experience on NSX and vSAN.Resolution of these issues- requires assessing, planning, troubleshoot the issues and provide the root cause analysis.Maintaining the SLA is a key success as they provide timely and efficient fixes and updates to keep the customer happy.Knowledge on escalation procedures, incident management, problem management including RCAs.Technical Skill Required:Proficiency in VMware product portfolio including vSphere vCenter, NSX, vSAN.Identifying and resolving VMware Infrastructure- ESXi host and Virtual Center performance related issues, Performance Monitoring, Datastore related issues (Latency or IOPs), ESXTOP.Experience in maintenace of enterprise datacenters networks(software defined networking(NSX)).Experience in maintenance of VSAN Cluster.Solid background in identifying and troubleshooting vSAN NSX related issues.Hands on experience on VMware NSX-T Manager, Distributed Firewalling, Edge Firewalling, N-VDS, Tier 0, Tier 1 gateways & logical segments, NSX Intelligence, PCG, CSM.Periodically monitor the traffic requirement of Applications & Services and make changes to security policies to reflect the change in traffic patterns.Ability to Engage, Collaborate & Direct stakeholders & project teams.Technical understanding on multi-vendor hardware Enclosures (Lenovo, HPE and Dell enclosures), Physical Networking Understanding.Identify and troubleshoot to fix the problem & break fix.Other Skills:Degree in IT/Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/Electronics or higher.Total 5-7 years of experience on VMware productsVMware Certified advanced professional – Network Virtualization Deploy/Design.VMware Certified Specialist – vSAN.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues.Ability to interact with global customer.Person should be flexible to work in 24X7 environment in shifts.Additional Locations
