Assistant Manager/ Manager – Catalytic Finance

Moreover, it will provide you with a chance to work on projects that has a population-scale impact.Interested Description:The Assistant Manager/ Manager – Catalytic Finance will be involved in following:Contribute to the development of MSC’s overall strategy, for Catalytic finance Executing the live projects under the CF-PG,Support the team in building new business, specifically to build proposals and concepts that can be developed into future work,Contribute to and lead specific research pieces on impact investments,Continuously scan the funding ecosystem to scout for funding opportunities for the projects,Contribute towards creating content for dissemination and outreach of CF-PG’s work,Documenting best practices or principles of impact investing in India or internationally,Contribute towards organizing events,Support GSI team in business development,Writing/reviewing proposals and pitches,Preparing related collaterals including case studies,Support GSI team in planning and executing assignments with Government,Training and capacity building of team members in MSC,Publish blogs, articles to promote MSC’s work in national and international media,Participate in relevant events, conferences to represent MSC.
Requirements
Essential Skills
The applicant should have experience in the impact investing space and working experience in India, ideally in the development sector, fintech, or impact investing more broadly. The candidate should be demonstrably passionate about social impact and knowledge of a wide variety of impact investment asset classes, from equity, debt, and guarantees, to innovative structures like climate bonds, impact bonds, etc. The candidate should have experience working in a live multi-stakeholder blended finance structure involving philanthropies, investors, and service providers and an understanding of the impact investment space of India in particular and the globe in general.QualificationA master’s degree in Finance/ MBA (finance)/ CA, or other relevant professional qualifications in line with the areas of specialization.Desired experience1-8 yrs.of experience of putting together development projects, esp. in the ESG domain,Experience of program implementation in government systems/schemes and large transformation programs with government/ multi-lateral/bilateral agencies,Experience of working in 1 or more states and/or the Union GovernmentExperience of handling projects,Existing relationships with government, multilateral agencies, donor agencies, think tanks and industry.Skills and competenciesGood networks and relationships with the players in the impact investment,Ability to lead assignments involving diverse project teams and to work with minimal supervision,Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point,Leadership skills, decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, people-management skills,Excellent spoken and written English.
