Control Manager- Associate

Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each function and region to mitigate operational risk. The team focuses on four areas: Control Design & Expertise, Risks & Controls Identification/Assessment, Issues & Control Deficiencies and Control Governance & Reporting. As a Control Management Senior Associate within the Control Management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for the line of business. You will identify and escalate issues with urgency and collaborate with the Business to ensure timely remediation. The team supports top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation. Job Responsibilities: Provide operational risk guidance and leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk. Identify, assess, advise, and drive strategic solutions to increase efficiency and create a more resilient operating environment. Ensure effectiveness of key controls and lead communications with regulatory and audit bodies, both internally and externally. Oversee governance of business operational risks, escalating issues appropriately to line of business and Firmwide operating committees. Collaborate with senior business clients and partners across functional areas (., Legal, Finance, Compliance, Risk) and geographies. Conduct frequent side-by-sides with the business(es). Required qualifications, skills and capabilities: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 5 years of experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong problem solving and analytical skills. A curious mind that prefers to go deep to understand details. A positive attitude and team spirit with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
