MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Manager or Lead-level Technologist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Object Oriented Programing (C#, .Net Core, Java, Angular, APIs, Spring Boot) as well as additional skills in Databricks/Snowflake/Data Integration.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• This position will be directly responsible for managing the offshore team and the delivery of the assignments to offshore for the Credit Risk Technology team
• Direct software engineering tasks and participate in the design, development, and deployment of applications and processes required to fulfill specific business requirements
• Bring innovation to the table that helps in improving the resilience of products you are responsible for, sell your ideas and be part of the change
• Successful candidates will have hands-on experience building full stack applications and data integration pipelines
• Document and implement best practices, conduct code reviews and highlight opportunities to use advanced features to keep code optimal, readable and clean.
• Collaborate with onshore managers/leads across multiple teams to deliver the highest quality product and infrastructure experience for our users
• Provide input for the creation of technology related project documents including functional and detailed design documents ensuring that the design meets requirements and is detailed enough to provide to development teams.
• Participate in the rollout of any changes to the production environment and the setting of new standards using change control, documentation, and full communication with the operations and support.
• Ensure compliance with technical best practices, standards and policies.
• Gather/document business requirements, analyzing current technology, data, and processes versus potential to create recommended solutions.
• Analyze complex cross functional problems, quickly grasp concepts related to industry specific design/development and articulate them concisely to foster project team collaboration.
• Work with the IT lead and coordinate development, testing, and implementation phases ensuring that all deliverables meet expectations.
• Work well under pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
• Resolve production defects within defined SLA.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in hands-on Software Engineering
• 2+ years of management experience, managing the delivery of a diverse offshore team with multiple technology stack
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development (C# / Java / Python / APIs)
• 2+ years of data integration experience in a lead role, preferably in financial services industry using Databricks / Snowflake
• Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices
• Experience in Data Modeling using ER Studio Dimensional Modeling, Canonical Modeling
• Strong experience with one or more RDBMS platforms (DB2, Oracle, etc.) and UNIX Scripting is required.
• Understanding of AWS Data Services like RDS, Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, EMR.
• Experience with real-time data processing using IBM MQ, Kafka is preferable.
• Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills, with best in class customer service orientation and multi-tasking ability.
• Experience working in Waterfall/Agile development methodologies.
• A team player with excellent communication skills, logical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and motivated.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams with conflicting deadlines proactively.
