Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager – Performance Marketing will play a crucial role in driving the digital marketing and communication strategies for Deakin University (South Asia). This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing effective digital lead generation campaigns and managing various communication channels to enhance the organization's brand presence and engage with the target audience. The role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing trends, search engine marketing, monitoring, budget handling etc. for customer acquisition. Prior experience with doing audience and buyer persona research, lead Squared CRM is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

- Digital Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with Organization’s goals and objectives specific to the India campus.- Campaign Management & Lead Generation: Plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid advertising, to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and conversions.- Content Creation: Create compelling and engaging content for digital platforms, including social media posts, blogs, articles, videos, and infographics, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.- Social Media Management: Manage and grow the official social media presence by developing and implementing strategies to increase followers, drive engagement, and build brand advocacy.- Website Management: Oversee the India campus website, ensuring that it is up to date, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines, while delivering a seamless user experience.- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, measure, and analyse the performance of digital marketing initiatives using various tools and platforms. Provide regular reports and insights to the Marketing and Communications team, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.- Brand Management: Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all digital marketing and communication channels, adhering to established brand guidelines and messaging.- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and IT, to ensure successful execution of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives. Liaise with internal stakeholders to align digital marketing efforts with campus-specific initiatives and events.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.- Proven experience (Minimum 3 to 4 years) in digital marketing, preferably in a similar role.- Strong knowledge of digital marketing concepts, including social media marketing, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and paid advertising.- Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software, and CMS platforms.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to craft compelling content for various digital channels.- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive informed decisions and optimize digital marketing campaigns.- Experience in website management and familiarity with web technologies and CMS platforms.- Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools is a plus.- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.- Knowledge of the education or academic sector is preferrable but not mandatory.
