Summary: We're hiring for an early-stage funded aerospace/defence startup in Bangalore led by 3 co-founders.
The position is that of a Business Head with extensive experience in the build to print business in Aerospace & Defence industry. The ideal candidate shall have a proven track record of over 14+ years in leadership roles in build to print, EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems), box build businesses with extensive experience in sales & business development and P&L responsibility. The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the division, driving strategic growth, overseeing operational excellence, and ensuring financial performance.
Compensation: 35-40 LPA + ESOPs
Location: Bangalore (on-site)
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
2. Extensive experience (14+ years) in a senior leadership role within the aerospace and defence industries inEWIS or wire harness, box build, system integration
3. Experience in handling profit and loss (P/L) responsibilities and driving organizational success.
4. Extensive knowledge about key decision makers within the industry, with a strong focus on relationship-building.
5. Deep understanding of EWIS build-to-print manufacturing processes and aerospace/defence industry requirements.
6. Extensive experience of working with International OEMs & Tier 1s in Aerospace & Defence industry, DPSUs & Domestic Tier 1s
7. Proven track record of bringing in new customers from the Indian market and driving revenue growth.
8. Willingness to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop strategic plans to achieve division growth and
profitability, maintain relationships with clients and suppliers, etc.
2. Business Development: Grow customer base and revenue, prepare bids, negotiate contracts
3. Operations Management: Oversee operations and optimize processes, manage project timelines
4. Financial Performance: Own PnL, control and monitor budget, etc.
5. Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals.
6. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with aerospace and defence industry standards and regulatory requirements, implement safety protocols
