Overview The Systems Verification Team at Shure continues to expand around the globe. We are in search of a seasoned software leader to mentor and manage the talented engineers in our Hyderabad office. As the Head of Division, Systems Verification, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic organization through advancing our current technologies, bringing in new technologies and expanding automation. You will lead a 40+ person team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced scripts to validate embedded software systems. Responsibilities Architect and Implement Automation Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of automation architecture across multiple product lines, driving efficiency and innovation in our software testing processes. Overseeing and coordinating projects within the department, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This may involve setting project goals, allocating resources, and monitoring progress. Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the department and across different levels of the organization. This may involve conducting meetings, presenting reports, and fostering a positive work environment. Collaborating with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for the department or organization. This may involve conducting market research, analyzing trends, and identifying areas for growth and improvement. Influence Product Development: Contribute to the framework and architecture used in multiple products or systems, shaping the future direction of our offerings. Technical Leadership: Provide technical recommendations for next-generation initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Test Design and Implementation: Lead your team to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases/scripts for complex frameworks, systems, and products. Lead advanced software system testing to ensure compliance with specifications and interoperability. Identify, analyze, and resolve software issues to improve product quality. Manage and mentor a 40+ person team of talented System Verification Engineers. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Graduate coursework is desirable. Minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in software testing; particularly in the development of audio products, with a focus on achieving results, including cost-effective methods. Proficiency in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and other scripting languages. Familiarity with embedded and application development is a plus. Experience in Agile methodologies. Proven experience directly managing and mentoring; including leading cooperative efforts among project teams and effectively allocating resources. Motivate a team of system verifiers (testers) to become an integral part of a scrum team, allowing us to shift testing left as part of the agile development process. Demonstrated ability to work on complex problems, analyze data, and provide innovative solutions. Experience with budget preparation and adherence. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide guidance and advice to subordinates. Strong adherence to operational policies and processes while continuously seeking improvement. Ability to develop and administer schedules, establish performance requirements, and meet project goals.
