Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operations of network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Maintenance: Perform routine checks, maintenance, and upgrades of network systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
  • Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Monitoring: Monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Documentation: Create and update documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to implement network solutions and address connectivity issues.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning to ensure network resources meet current and future business requirements.
  • Incident Response: Respond to network-related incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to the development of incident response plans.
  • Upgrades: Coordinate and execute network equipment upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Training: Provide training and support to other team members on network-related topics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Overall 5+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Network Support Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing, VoIP, and switching.
  • Familiarity with network security practices and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
  • Hybrid work module.
  • Will require after-hours or weekend support.
