Role & responsibilities
The Area Sales Manager Project Sales will be responsible for driving business growth in the ceramic and tiles segment through project sales in the assigned territory. The role involves developing relationships with architects, builders, contractors, interior designers, and institutions to generate demand, achieve sales targets, and ensure sustainable market presence.
Preferred candidate profile
Business Development & Sales:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the project sales segment for ceramic and tiles products.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
Generate demand through engagement with architects, builders, developers, and government/institutional clients.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and consultants.
Engage with key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Market Development:
Track competitor activities, pricing, and product launches to maintain competitive advantage.
- Work closely with marketing teams for brand-building activities, exhibitions, and product presentations.
Ensure effective product positioning in the project sales segment.
Operations & Reporting:
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.
- Maintain accurate sales records, MIS reports, and market intelligence for decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, supply chain, technical, and customer support) for smooth order execution.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred).
Experience:
5–8 years of experience in Project Sales in building materials, preferably Ceramic/Tiles, Sanitaryware, or allied industries.
Proven track record of handling architects, builders, and institutional clients in Mumbai and nearby regions.
Skills:
Strong business development and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle and key decision makers in the construction ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently and drive results.
