About the Role

Movius is seeking a meticulous and dedicated
Phone Numbers Operations Specialist
to join our Global Connectivity team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of managing Movius's global inventory of phone numbers, ensuring seamless provisioning, porting, and hosting services across our diverse carrier network. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the operational integrity of our numbering services, directly contributing to the reliability and expansion of the Movius Network.

Global Connectivity
organization, where you will be a key player in ensuring Movius's customers can reliably acquire, port, and manage phone numbers globally.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Manage Phone Number Provisioning:
  Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of phone number provisioning, including ordering, activation, and deactivation of numbers with various global carriers and service providers.
• Coordinate Number Porting:
  Drive the complex process of porting phone numbers in and out of Movius's platform, working closely with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate transfers while adhering to regulatory timelines.
• Review Number Providers' Invoices:
  Meticulously review and validate invoices from phone number providers against provisioning data and contracted rates, identifying discrepancies and supporting reconciliation efforts with finance and procurement teams.
• Carrier Communication & Relationship:
  Act as an operational point of contact with carrier porting and numbering teams, resolving issues, managing escalations, and fostering strong working relationships.
• Issue Resolution:
  Investigate and resolve complex numbering-related issues, including provisioning errors, porting rejections, routing discrepancies, and service interruptions.
• Oversee Number Hosting:
  Manage the hosting of existing phone numbers on the Movius platform, ensuring proper routing, configuration, and ongoing availability.
• Database Management:
  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of phone number inventory, status, and related metadata within Movius's systems.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify opportunities to streamline and automate phone number operations processes, contributing to increased efficiency and reduced errors.
• Documentation:
  Create and maintain clear operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles related to phone number management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with customer support, engineering, product, and carrier relations teams to address numbering challenges and support new product initiatives.
• Ensure Regulatory Adherence:
  Monitor local and international telecommunications numbering regulations (e.g., number assignment rules, porting regulations) across all operational activities.

Requirements

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with:

• 5+ years of experience
  in telecommunications operations, specifically with hands-on experience in phone number provisioning, porting, and/or hosting.
• Solid understanding of phone number lifecycle
  management and associated telecom regulations (e.g., Porting rules, number assignment).
• Experience working directly with telecom carriers or service providers on operational issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex operational issues.
• Excellent communication skills
  (written and verbal) for interacting with internal teams, customers, and external carrier partners.
• High attention to detail
  and a commitment to accuracy in data and process management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using operational tools, ticketing systems, and data management platforms.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with global numbering schemes and international porting processes.
• Familiarity with CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) platforms.
• Experience with APIs or basic scripting for data extraction/automation.
• A relevant degree in a technical or business field.
