VDI Automation Specialist

Our client, a global investment bank, is looking for a Microsoft Power Automate specialist to join their VDI team. The candidate is expected to reside in India and the work hours will likely be 6am to 2pm EST (NY Time).

The environment consists of VDI’s (Virtualized Windows Desktops) located “on-prem” as well as “in the cloud”

The goal is to automate some of the manual tasks currently being performed by the team for the deployment and management of these machines. Furthermore, to improve user experience and client interaction leveraging AI, copilot and chat bots.

Please note: You must be willing to be trained by other team members in the support of the VDI environment. This hands-on experience will assist you with implementing automation.

Preferred knowledge of Windows365, Azure, XenApp, XenDesktop, Power Automate and Copilot. You will interface with various IT teams, project managers, vendors, and business leaders to ensure alignment with business requirements and technological innovations. Responsible for leveraging emerging automation and AI technologies in End User Workspace.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under limited supervision. A large degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities

-Experience using Microsoft Power Automate and Copilot technologies to enhance user experience, service delivery and performance

-Create and integrate AI-driven automation solutions to streamline and optimize user experience.

-Knowledge in other varying automation technology such as UIPath, Blue Prism and PowerShell

-Work closely with other Devops teammate and collaborate with other key team members to deliver high-quality solutions to improve user experience

-Identify new opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve our offerings

-Experience in all Microsoft products and their integration with AI (ie Teams Chat)

-Create runbooks and processes to handoff to the Workspace Engineering team and refocus on other initiatives

-Work with the team on the architecture, deployment, management of Workspace technology deployment/strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals

-Preferred knowledge on the architecture and deployment of Windows365 (CloudPCs)

-Experience in build and design Azure Virtual Desktop preferred

-Contribute as a subject matter technical expert for all Workspace technologies

-Work independently on projects with all teams to meet defined deliverables and timelines

-Work closely with all Support teams in problem resolution as well as Infrastructure projects

-Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the organization remains technologically competitive

-Continuously develop and update documentation as well as knowledge base articles

-Work with team to cross train on all Workspace Technologies

Qualifications

-Knowledge in the build and implementation of Power Automate code/AI to streamline processes and increase productivity

-Highly Proficient in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Architecture

-Strong background in Azure with a specialized experience in W365 and Azure Virtual Desktop

-Experienced in Citrix integration with AWS and Azure

-Extensive knowledge in VMware and Nutanix

-Experience in the build and support of NetScaler

-Comprehensive knowledge of Citrix Cloud and automation around it

-Experience in IGEL preferred

-Previous exposure in troubleshooting L3/L2/L1 issues systemwide as well as a single user.

-Good interpersonal skills including networking, collaboration, communication, time management, being able to adapt to different audiences, environments, and cultures

-Team player and the willingness to lend a hand with any project, big or small

-Project Management and Documentation skills

-At least 5 years of experience in VDI engineering

-Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

-Financial Services Experience preferred.
