Position Primary Objective:

To ensure timely review of the SOA/ bordereaux on the basis of the Treaty terms and to ensure accurate recording of premium and statistical information and perform RI administration activities.


Position Reports to:

Team Lead Technical Accounting

Specific Accountabilities:

Accountability (Critical Outputs) and Key Performance Indicators (Measures)

1. Collaboration with Business development support team, MR’s internal stakeholders (Claims, Underwriting, Accounts, IT) and MR’s external clients

· Satisfaction of internal requirements

· Successful collaboration with Business development support team

· Enhanced accuracy and efficiency of treaty-specific premium administration processes

· Efficiency of RI Administration business processes

2. Timely and accurate recording of all incoming premium and statistical information relating to allocated accounts.

· Accurate data entry (on SAP FSRI system)

· Correct premium allocation

· Rectification of inadequate client information by client liaison

· Generation of GST invoices and Credit notes

· Incoming receipt confirmation to the clients

3. Manage creditors/debtors position for allocated accounts. Review amounts in suspense accounts and reconcile to correct account.

· Level of outstanding in SAP FSCD (Settlement system)within limits

· Reconcile incoming receipts/ outgoing payments against open FSCD items

· Forward reminder letters to MR cedants for any outstanding balances to ensure prompt settlement

· Reconcile and rectify Unallocated items

4. To undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence from time to time.

· Proactive approach to problem solving

· Flexibility in responding to MR clients and proper escalation for decision making


Typical Experience and Education of Position Holder:

· Degree in accounting/finance or related discipline with 1 to 3 years of experience

· Experience in General Insurance or Reinsurance Industry administration will be an advantage.

· Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills, with intermediate to advanced level excel & Access skills (essential).

· Past experience in audit or consulting (advantageous)

· Good communication and interpersonal skill
