Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic Product Support Engineer with expertise in Linux systems and networking to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong communication

skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of the stock market domain (an

advantage). You will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting the company's

products, ensuring optimal performance for clients, and effectively collaborating with

technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Linux System Support:

- Provide expert-level support for the company's product suite running on Linux

systems.- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, including installation, configuration, performance optimisation, and system crashes on Linux

servers.- Manage and monitor Linux-based environments to ensure smooth product

operation.

Networking & Windows Server Support:

- Utilise a basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP,

etc.) to diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, performance, and

configuration.- Support integration and troubleshooting of the product on Windows Servers and hybrid environments that combine both Linux and Windows systems.

Stock Market Domain Understanding (Advantage):

- Apply knowledge of the stock market domain to help resolve issues specific

to market-related data processing or trading applications.- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the product functions well within the

context of financial markets, enhancing the customer experience.

Customer Support & Communication:

- Communicate effectively with customers, understanding their technical issues

and providing clear solutions.- Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries via various

channels (email, phone, ticketing systems).- Document and escalate customer issues, ensuring a smooth resolution process.

Problem Solving & Analysis:

- Analyse and troubleshoot complex system issues, collaborating with internal

technical teams when necessary to ensure rapid resolution.- Use logical thinking and strong analytical skills to dissect system problems,

network issues, or performance bottlenecks.

System Understanding & Troubleshooting:

- Quickly understand complex systems, configurations, and environments.- Work with cross-functional teams to identify product bugs, system

improvements, and new features based on customer feedback and technical

issues.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

- Work closely with development, product management, and other teams to

relay technical feedback, issues, and solutions.- Collaborate on system upgrades, releases, and integrations, ensuring customer

environments remain supported.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

- 3-6 years of experience in a technical support role, system administration, or

similar field.- Proven experience with Linux system support, troubleshooting, and

administration.- Basic understanding of networking concepts and experience with Windows

Servers.- Familiarity with stock market concepts or financial domain is an advantage. ∙ Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, RHEL,

CentOS).- Experience troubleshooting system issues on Linux and Windows servers. o Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and related

tools for troubleshooting.- Knowledge of monitoring tools and system diagnostics.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.- Ability to explain complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner. o Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively with

both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and solve

complex technical issues.- Ability to think critically and apply logical problem-solving techniques to

system-related issues.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

∙ Experience in the financial or stock market domain is a plus.

∙ Familiarity with additional technologies like Docker, cloud environments (AWS,

GCP), or configuration management tools is beneficial.
