We are looking for a talented and experienced PostgreSQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and management. As a PostgreSQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to support business applications and ensure data integrity.
  • Query Optimization: Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance and efficiency.
  • Database Tuning: Monitor and tune database performance, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
  • Data Migration: Perform data migration tasks, including data import/export, transformation, and ETL processes.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data safety and availability.
  • Security Management: Ensure database security through access control, encryption, and other security measures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement database solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Support: Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues and work on continuous improvement of database processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in PostgreSQL database development and administration.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming.
    • Experience with database design principles, normalization, and ER modeling.
    • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
    • Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, psql, and other PostgreSQL utilities.
    • Experience with data migration and ETL processes.
    • Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security best practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: PostgreSQL certification or other relevant database certifications.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
