Responsibilities:

Database Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
  • Ensure database performance, availability, and security.
  • Optimize queries and manage database schema changes.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and failover procedures.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

CI/CD Pipeline:

  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Implement best practices for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Monitoring & Logging:

  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for PostgreSQL and Redis using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
  • Ensure systems and applications are monitored for uptime, performance, and security.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Redis, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

CI/CD & Automation:

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).

Monitoring & Logging:

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (ELK Stack).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in PostgreSQL or related database technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
  • Experience with other databases or messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
