Job Description: Retail Sales Head – For Luxury Jewellery Brand

Location: New Delhi

Reporting To: Founder

Type: Full-Time, On-Site

A renowned and fast-growing luxury fine jewelry brand is looking for a dynamic and strategic Retail Sales Head to lead our retail expansion and elevate our brand's presence across key markets. With a goal of transforming our single-store operation into a profitable network of 5-6 stores in the next 2 years, the Retail Head will spearhead top-line and bottom-line growth, streamline operational efficiency, and instill a scalable model that reflects client's commitment to unparalleled luxury and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retail Expansion – Build 5 stores in 5 cities in the next 18 months


• Develop and execute a comprehensive retail expansion plan to establish and sustain 5 profitable stores within the next 18 months.


• Lead market research to identify potential locations aligned with the client.


• Drive store openings end-to-end, from site selection, lease negotiations, and interiors setup to on-ground recruiting, team training and grand opening events.

2. Top-Line and Bottom-Line Growth from Retail stores


• Set and achieve ambitious revenue and profitability targets for each store


• Devise strategies to maximize store sales performance and customer retention through exceptional client experiences, personalized services, and high-touch clienteling.


• Oversee cost management, budgeting, and inventory control to ensure each store contributes positively to the bottom line.


• Leverage consumer driven insights to identify new product categories that enhance brand growth and boost revenue.

3. Set up Systems and Processes required to scale to multi store expansion


• Establish standardized systems and processes to maintain consistency across all stores, covering all critical areas: inventory management, client service, billing, and CRM.


• Lead the implementation of technology solutions to streamline store operations and enhance customer experience


• Develop a comprehensive playbook for each store, detailing SOPs for day-to-day operations, brand presentation, and customer engagement.

4. Recruit, Develop and Manage Retail store teams


• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing retail teams that embody client's values and luxury standards.


• Work closely with HR to set up recruitment, training, and development programs to build skilled sales and store management teams.


• Foster a culture of accountability and empowerment, ensuring each store operates on an autopilot model with minimal oversight while maintaining brand integrity.

5. Drive the right client experience in store with appropriate use of tech


• Create a consistent, premium in-store experience that exceeds client expectations.


• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align store merchandising, promotions, and client outreach strategies.


• Champion client's values in every store touchpoint, nurturing client relationships that lead to long-term loyalty and advocacy.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.


• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in luxury retail management, preferably with multi-store or expansion experience.


• Proven track record in achieving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profitability in a luxury environment.


• Strong understanding of retail operations, financial planning, and P&L management.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.


• Tech-savvy with a clear understanding of CRM, POS systems, and other retail technology solutions.
