We’re reimagining pet nutrition from the ground up — blending science, instinct, and taste to create precision nutrition for modern pets. Founded by a lifelong pet parent, our mission is simple yet ambitious: to help India’s pets live longer, healthier lives through ancestral, credible, and science-backed products.Looking for our core team recruit- R&D / Product Champion— a Food Technologist or Animal Nutritionist passionate about developing, testing, and perfecting pet wellness products that meet global standards of nutrition, safety, and quality. You’ll lead innovation, compliance, and product development across a new generation of pet food formats.What You’ll Do1. Market Research & InnovationIdentify emerging trends in pet nutrition — from raw and freeze-dried to longevity-led and functional formats — and translate them into viable, differentiated products. Benchmark against top global players to uncover opportunities for ingredient and process innovation. Maintain full compliance with FSSAI, CODEX, AAFCO, and FEDIAF standards, ensuring every product meets global quality and safety benchmarks. Stay current on nutrition regulations, labeling norms, and additive standards. 2. Product Development & Optimization Develop new products that balance science, safety, and taste appeal .Reverse-engineer and optimize existing products for cost, efficiency, and consistency .Manage sourcing and vendor partnerships for ingredients and private labeling .Conduct sensory and stability testing to validate product shelf life and palatability .Oversee cost and production scalability while preserving product integrity . 3. Quality & Continuous Improvemen tConduct batch testing, sensory evaluation, and consistency checks across production run s.Design consumer feedback loops and taste panels to refine product formulation s.Document scientific rationale and technical justifications for all ingredients and additive s.Establish systems that translate consumer insights into product innovatio n.4. Cross-Functional KP IsPartner with marketing, operations, and production teams to ensure timely and compliant product launch es.Create and maintain SOPs for scale-up, training, and process efficien cy.Review and approve packaging, labeling, and back-of-pack communicati on.Drive sustainability initiatives — from responsible sourcing to safe, eco-friendly packagi ng.Education & Backgro undMSc / MTech in Food Technology, Food Science, or Feed Formulat ion.PhD or doctoral candidates in Animal Nutrition or Veterinary Sciences prefer red.Prior hands-on experience in pet food R&D or formulation is essent ial.Experience with modern food processing technology is a p lus.You’ll Fit Right In If You:Have a sharp scientific mind and an eye for de tail.Question assumptions and pursue evidence before conclus ions.Are self-driven, structured, and comfortable in fast-paced, founder-led environm ents.Thrive on creating systems from scratch and scaling them with preci sion.Enjoy solving on-ground challenges with creativity and owner ship.If you’re driven by curiosity, obsessed with quality, and excited to build from zero to one, this is your opportunity to shape India’s next great pet food brand — where every product tells a story of care, craft, and credibility.
