To lead the end-to-end execution of wind energy projects and ensure efficient operation and maintenance (O&M) of wind assets post-commissioning. The role involves strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, safety and compliance adherence, and delivering project and service KPIs within timeline and budget constraints.
Job Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of wind farm projects.
Oversee site feasibility studies, micro-siting, WTG installations, and grid synchronization.
Ensure project delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
Manage regulatory approvals, land acquisition coordination, and community engagement.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve issues proactively.
Service & Operations:
Oversee O&M services post-commissioning of wind turbines.
Ensure high turbine availability (>98%) and optimize generation through predictive and preventive maintenance.
Develop and track KPIs like PLF, MTTR, downtime, and service cost per MW.
Manage spares inventory, vendor contracts, and remote monitoring systems (SCADA, CMS).
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including project engineers, service technicians, and site managers.
Establish SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards in alignment with ISO/OSHA.
Support business development with technical inputs for bids, site assessments, and cost estimations.
Monitor P&L of the Project and Service business unit and drive profitability and efficiency.
Compliance & Risk:
Ensure compliance with central and state-level electricity regulations (CEA, MNRE, etc.).
Identify and mitigate project risks (technical, regulatory, environmental, financial).
Drive a strong EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) culture at all sites.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 18 years in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role handling wind project execution and/or service operations.
Education: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, Diploma/certification in Project Management.
Knowledge: Wind technology, grid integration, and Indian regulatory landscape.
Ability & Skill: Able to deliver large-scale wind projects and managing O&M teams across multiple states.
Language: English, Hindi.
