The Area Manager is entrustedwith the responsibility of driving team performance overseeingrecruitment and development initiatives ensuring employee retentionand optimizing efficiency within the assigned geography. They playa pivotal role in fostering a motivated and engaged team to achieveorganizationalgoals.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:

    • Managethe entire recruitment process for sales officers and Team Managers(TMs) from sourcing candidates toonboarding.
  • Trainingand Coaching:

    • Conducttraining sessions for new joiners in collaboration with theLearning & Development (L&D) team focusing ongeography mapping source management and customer relationshipskills.
    • Provide coaching and ongoingsupport to new joiners and underperforming employees to enhancetheir performance andskillsets.
  • GeographyMapping:

    • Allocate geographyat all levels and provide training and coaching to TMs new joinersand underperforming employees on areamapping.
    • Conduct audits and reviewsof area mapping progress at regular intervals to ensure accuracyandeffectiveness.
  • Developmentof UnderperformingEmployees:

    • Identifyunderperforming employees based on location benchmarks and areas ofdevelopment.
    • Match performance gapswith relevant interventions to facilitate employeeimprovement.
  • Reviews(Monthly/Weekly):

    • Conductcomprehensive reviews of teams to assess performance identify gapsand set goals.
    • Follow up on presetgoals to track progress and provide necessary support to achievetargets.
  • DailyHuddle:

    • Monitor theeffectiveness of morning huddles and ensure their smoothconduct.
    • Attend and conductmanagerial huddles on a daily basis to facilitate communication andalignment ofobjectives.
  • SourceRelationshipManagement:

    • Managerelationships with all sources within the geographic area to fosterstrong partnerships and drive businessgrowth.
  • TeamManagement:

    • Maintain aculture of fairness openness happiness and transparency within theteam.
    • Provide accessibility andsupport to new joiners and underperformingemployees.
    • Ensure smoothinterdepartmental functioning while adhering to establishedprocesses.
  • ChannelPartner Recruitment:

    • Verifydocumentation for channel partner recruitment and submit to theArea Sales Manager (ASM) forapproval.

Requirements
  • Provenexperience in mortgage or home loan sales with demonstratedleadership capabilities.
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills for effective teammanagement and relationshipbuilding.
  • Sound knowledge of salesprocesses channel partner recruitment and geographic mappingstrategies.
  • Ability to conduct jointcalls facilitate team huddles and drive performancereviews.
  • Proficiency in coordinatingwith internal teams particularly credit departments to expediteloanprocessing.
