Outreach Coordinator
Job Description
Oversee the planning, organization, implementation, and assessment of outreach initiatives and activities; develop and execute a variety of activities and workshops designed to engage with school students; provide potential students with assistance, and referrals to appropriate programs; support high school counselors’ efforts to engage high school students in planning for college application; supervise classified staff and student workers assigned to outreach; coordinate the involvement of students, staff, and faculty in scheduled activities; and contribute to growth targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in campus-wide outreach projects and activities, including local high schools, community organizations, and partners.
- Serve as liaison and work collaboratively with school counselors in the development and implementation of coordinated marketing and outreach activities.
- Coordinates and participates in outreach activities targeted at students from class 10th to class 12th and provides feedback on such workshops and activities.
- Monitor and assist in the identification of outreach needs of the schools, its general demographics, and barriers to access; make appropriate service recommendations.
- Prepares reports related to outreach activities, enrollment, and high school yield rates.
- Conduct a variety of workshops and presentations. Represent the College at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
- Monitor, coordinate, and administer assigned budgets.
- Develop and maintain various databases; maintain a variety of interrelated records and files.
- Develop and maintain a network of faculty and staff interested in becoming involved in outreach and a system for matching their interests, skills, and availability with demand for outreach services.
- Required to achieve a set target for conducting a certain number of workshops, generating a targeted number of leads, and converting the leads into admissions.
Desirable Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services, or related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in college outreach and event coordination.
Work Timings
Timings 9.00 am – 6.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Advertising and marketing techniques.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Basic research, statistical reporting, and presentation methods.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and present findings.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Implement complex matrix of outreach services.
- Knowledge of courses offered at ISBF and completing courses offered by other institutes.
